Farzan Mohammed, 37, of Chester, fled the country after charges were filed in March 2023 and was extradited to the US on Thursday, Oct. 24, according to a post by the US Marshals in Philadelphia on X, formerly Twitter.
Mohammed was arrested in the Princes Town area of Trinidad on Tuesday, April 9 on a Provisional Arrest Warrant thanks to a joint effort by federal agents from the US Embassy, US Marshals Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, Diplomatic Security Service, and the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Southern Division, a news release from the US Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago states.
He was held in custody in Trinidad until the extradition process was finalized for his return the US, according to the news release. Authorities in Trinidad signed a warrant of removal for Mohammed on October 4, 2024, according to the Trinidad Daily Express.
Mohammed was charged with:
Felony Trafficking in Minors (10 counts).
Felony Corruption of Minors - Defendant Age 18 or Above.
Felony Indecent Deviant Sexual Intercourse Person Less than 16 Years of Age (10 counts).
Felony Photograph/Film/Depict on Computer Sex Act.
Felony Disseminate Photo/Film of Child Sex Acts.
Felony Endangering Welfare of Children (10 counts).
Misdemeanor Indecent Assault Person Less Than 16 years of Age (10 counts).
Felony Unlawful Contact with Minor - Sexual Offenses (10 counts).
Misdemeanor Unlawful Dissemination of Intimate Image.
Misdemeanor Indecent Assault without Consent of Other (10 counts).
Misdemeanor Indecent Assault Forcible Compulsion (10 counts).
Felony Child Pornography.
Felony Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older (10 counts).
Felony Sexual Assault (10 counts).
Felony Criminal Use of Communication Facility.
Felony Rape Forcible Compulsion (10 counts).
